Plot Butchers
Podcast branding
Plot Butchers is a comedy podcast centred-around terrible story writing. Myself and some friends decided to rewrite popular works of film and TV and have the others read them on the recording; with the catch being the person re-writing the story has never seen the original, and has only a vague idea of the plot. As a trio we would perform the readings, attempt to piece together the chunks of plot that formed and reveal to the author how close (or, more likely, how far away) they were to the original.

Creating the Pod
Plot Butchers was a tremendous amount of fun to record, produce and also create the branding artwork for. Between myself and Chris, we would record, edit and publish the episodes of Manuela’s retelling of “The Lord of the Rings” for listeners. As the illustrator of the group, I created the visuals for the pod, with the album artwork, logos and everything inbetween, as well as helping out with some Audio editing with Chris.
Motion Graphics
On top of my illustrative duties, I would also handle the social media posts for the Pod, in the form of teasers and “Out Now” videos for every episodes’ release which was a weekly scheduling.
It was tremendous fun outlining the 3D scene for the template, and I was quite pleased with the flickering Neon “Out Now” signage I had modelled to serve as a background.
